Over the past several years, working with students has become a true passion for Lori. In 2019, she supported her son one-on-one with reading, writing, and math during remote learning while also caring for her preschool-aged daughter. This experience inspired her to volunteer weekly with a first-grade reading program in 2020, where she helped developing readers build confidence and a love of stories.
Most recently, in 2025, Lori served as a fifth-grade inclusive education assistant, helping students stay on task, strengthen their executive functioning skills, and develop their reading, writing, and math abilities. Prior to working in education, she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and graphic design from Moravian University, which led to a career as a marketing associate art director for Fortune and Money Magazine.
Lori is excited to work with Ms. Peavey in Grade 1, providing academic and emotional support, assisting with administrative tasks, and helping to create an organized and welcoming learning environment. She looks forward to meeting this year’s Grade 1 students and being part of another wonderful school year at Crossroads Academy!
