Karisa grew up in the Upper Valley and graduated from Mascoma High School before attending a mission’s trip for hurricane Katrina clean-up where she met her husband all in the same year. She is now growing our own family in West Lebanon with their daughter, Isabelle, and love doing all things local. Their favorite activities are hiking, visiting family, and reading together. Karisa earned her BS in English Education from Colby-Sawyer College and her MA in Creative Writing in Fiction. She has worked in education in various positions for a few years. Karisa taught eighth grade ELA in Claremont and has substituted at Lebanon schools as a teacher or paraprofessional. In her experiences substituting, she finds extreme joy in working with the younger students.
