Kevin Charlestream is a professional concert cellist and educator with more than 30 years of teaching experience. He began studying violin at age three and cello at age four, and by age twelve, had become the youngest musician ever to perform with the New England Symphonic Ensemble at Carnegie Hall. Since then, he has performed internationally throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. He has appeared in more than 400 concerts at Carnegie Hall and remains an active performer.
Kevin teaches students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced musicians. His teaching methods develop a strong technical foundation while emphasizing expressive tone production. He believes every student learns differently, so lessons are tailored to each individual’s goals, learning style, and pace, creating an encouraging environment where students can thrive both musically and personally. He specializes in beginning through intermediate violin and piano, as well as all levels of cello.
Kevin is excited to join the Crossroads Academy community and looks forward to sharing his passion for music with students and families through both the school’s music program and private lessons.
