I am excited to be joining the Crossroads Academy team as an assistant teacher to the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades and as a parent. I earned my Master’s in Special Education from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, Arkansas. I hold a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and Social Anthropology, and a Graduate Degree in Education from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, where I grew up. After completing my studies in South Africa, I moved to London, UK, and taught in inner city schools as a special education teacher for two years. After marrying my husband and moving to America, I taught in both Arizona and Colorado as a special education teacher in both private and public schools.
We moved to Canaan, New Hampshire, ten years ago, and I have enjoyed being a mother to our two daughters and a homeschool parent. I love spending time with my family, especially swimming in Canaan Lake in the summer, walking in the forest with our dog, and Nordic skiing in the winter. My favorite hobbies are reading with a cup of tea and baking bread.
