Geometry Teacher

BS & MS, MIT, PhD, University of Michigan

I am pleased to teach Geometry at Crossroads. Tutoring thrilled me through my school days in Florida and my mechanical engineering programs (BS and MS) at MIT. After working as an engineer at General Motors and Siemens, I went to graduate school in education at the University of Michigan. My dissertation work on what skills are important in engineering work resulted in a highly cited publication. I plan to teach some of those skills to students at Crossroads.

I currently teach graduate students in Dartmouth’s Master of Public Health program to interpret medical studies. I’ve also taught statistics at Dartmouth, engineering courses at Northern Illinois University, and calculus and engineering at several community colleges in Illinois. My greatest delight is seeing a person – of any age – grow their skills and confidence through learning. My husband and I raised our children in the Upper Valley and consider it a magical corner of the world.
