Sixth Grade Math Teacher

I deeply value the Crossroads mission of combining Core Knowledge and Core Virtues. I believe in integrating math with real-life applications. With a BS in Chemistry from the University of Southern California and a Statement of Eligibility to teach Chemistry in New Hampshire, I am able to transform my experience in science to illustrate the practical applications of Math in real-life situations. From using multiplication and division to calculate the amount of sugar in a cookie to using calculus to detect lead in drinking water, my unique perspective takes math to a new dimension.

Working closely with our Math Department chair, I can ensure consistent adherence to the Core Knowledge curriculum so that students will attain mastery of skills that will prepare them for success in their future endeavors. My experience includes teaching math and science in homeschool, public and private school settings, and working as a paraeducator. I am a Registered Educator Apprentice with Apprenticeship New Hampshire and am pursuing a teaching licensure through the New Hampshire Technical Institute. I have also taught activities at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, Vermont. I enjoy spending time with my family, writing poetry, solving puzzles, and taking photos of our rich, natural environment.
