The NH Stay at Home Order has been extended, so it remains in place with a phased reopening of recreational activities, restaurants, and businesses. For details visit Stay at Home 2.0. The Crossroads Academy Return to School Protocol will be developed in the coming weeks, once we receive guidelines from NH Department of Education, and DHHS.

With the reopening of some businesses, and with the risk of symptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission, it is essential that we continue to be vigilant with our COVID-19 prevention measures.

Please continue to follow advisories from NH DHHS as follows:

Stay at Home except to shop for food and other essentials, or to go to work if you are an essential employee. Those with chronic health conditions, or over the age of 60 should be most cautious about staying home. Please avoid playdates and any other activity that congregates people together in a stationary fashion, such as picnicking. There is currently a group size limit of 10 total people or less, with a social distance of 6 feet between each person.

Prevention in the home:

  • If you need to shop or work, wear a fabric face mask. Visit cloth face mask guidance NH DHHS for instructions on face mask placement & removal, and regular washing. Don’t touch your face when removing the mask, remove mask from the ear straps, and place it in a paper bag, wash hands, wash mask every time it is used.
  • Keep a distance of 6-8 feet from any person.
  • Wash hands regularly, particularly when you come in from work or the grocery store.
  • Clean surfaces once or twice a day, no in-person social gatherings.
  • Pets from other homes should also maintain a 6-8 foot social distance

Self-Quarantine: If you have been identified as a contact to someone diagnosed with COVID-19, stay at home for 14 days from your last potential exposure to COVID-19. Contact your health provider to let them know your status.

Self-Observation and what to do if you develop symptoms:  If you feel feverish, develop respiratory illness (cough, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath), mild flu-like illness (fatigue, chills, muscle aches), or loss of taste or smell. symptoms of COVID-19,

  • Take your temperature
  • Limit Contact with others, including family members
  • Seek health advice safely. Before going to your provider’s office or emergency room, call ahead and let the provider know about your potential exposure to COVID 19 and symptoms.

Self-Isolation: If you have a diagnosed COVID-19 infection, or symptoms of COVID 19 without testing, you should self- isolate at home. Most symptoms will persist for a 2 week period. If symptoms worsen: increasing fever, cough and shortness of breath, call your health care provider immediately, or 911 if severe. Self Isolation Guide

  • Stay home. Do not go out to the grocery store, pharmacy or any public areas.
  • Keep away from other people in the house as much as possible, at least 6-8 feet apart
  • Use a separate bathroom if possible. Disinfect surfaces touched such as doorknobs, light switches, railings, toilet handle.
  • If possible, stay in a separate room from others.
  • Continue to practice general hygiene measures such as covering cough and sneeze. Washing hands and using hand sanitizer.

Instructions on when to discontinue self-isolation after being ill:

  • Self-isolate until 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared

AND

  • At least 72 hours (3 days) have passed since recovery, which is defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medication and improvement in respiratory symptoms.

Expect a time frame of about 2 weeks. 10 day 72 hour rule
