I find Crossroads students to be inquisitive and engaged and the environment at the school instills them with a sense of poise and purpose well beyond their years. Brett Wanner alumni parent 5 Students Crossroads students love school. They are inspired by teachers encouraged by classmates and strive toward excellence. Recent accomplishments include Language Arts Sixteen students earned medals in the National Mythology Exam two students earned platinum medals in the National French Contest a dozen students had work published in The Voice Valley News VT Digger Cowbird Vermont Public Radio and Vermont Stage Companys Winter Tales. Mathematics Our elementary math team finished eighth of 114 teams in the mathleague.org national competition. We placed first in northern New England in the American Mathematics Competition-8 Exam and had the largest number of students in the top 5 percent in our region. Science Since 2012 more than twenty-five Crossroads students have been inducted into the Junior Academy of Science. Each of them published an abstract and presented original research at the annual meetings of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Two students received the Cogito Research Award from the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. Technology Five students won Best in Region in the Verizon App Challenge against a field of 1100 teams nationwide. Using our 3-D printer students designed cars that placed first second third fourth and fifth in the NHVT Solar Sprint Competition. Our FIRST LEGO League team won the Champions Award at regionals and the Research Award at the New Hampshire State Championship.
