This month's virtues are Compassion and Forgiveness. Compassion is caring about others, treating them with kindness, and feeling a strong desire to help people in need. Forgiveness is having enough heart to let go of hurt.

Thank you for a Wonderful Community Event

Crossroads would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Brian Murphy and Megan Kendrick P'29,'28, for hosting a spectacular community gathering at their home last week. The event was a wonderful opportunity for current families to connect, and for prospective and newly enrolled families to feel first-hand what a supportive community we have here at our school. We are still busy enrolling new families for the 23-24 school year and we hope you will continue to spread the word about our special school with families who may be interested in learning more.

  • Second Grade: Romeo and Juliet
  • Third Grade: Macbeth

  • Seventh Grade: The Tempest

We hope to see you there for any and all of the performances!

Student Achievements

STEM Certificate Presentations

Last week, three of our eighth grade students completed their STEM Certificate requirements and presented to the entire Middle School. Grace Weinstein was the first to take the stage and share her findings after measuring water quality in her ducks' drinking water and working to create a solution for cleaner drinking water for them. Next up was Addison Ramsey, who shared her research on the effects of BPA and BPS (found in plastic water bottles) on the C. elegans reproduction system. Last to take the stage was Ellicott Smith, who studied the growth and conservation of orchid flowers, specifically in the Upper Valley. These presentations represent the culmination of their learning directly from NHAS professional scientists through experiments in the NHAS labs throughout the school year. To learn more about the program, visit this page or contact Dr. Day.

Coraline Mann Wins Stamp Art Competition

Recently, Coraline Mann '25 submitted a painting that won Best in Show for the state of New Hampshire in this year's U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Junior Duck Stamp competition. Her acrylic painting of Long-Tailed Ducks, based on a photo that she took on the seacoast in MA, is now representing the state of New Hampshire in a traveling exhibition that goes on tour over the next thirteen months all around the country. Coraline's achievement was also announced and celebrated in the Boston Globe last week. Congratulations, Coraline!
