Announcing New Teachers for 2023-2024

We are excited to announce that we have two new assistant teachers joining us in the next school year. Sarah Myers will join as our new First Grade Assistant, and Ellie Wasson will join as our Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Assistant Teacher.

Sarah grew up in Maine. From there, she attended Whitman College to receive her undergraduate degree in Psychology. Following college, Sarah spent time in the Czech Republic teaching English as a Foreign Language to elementary school children. From there, she got her Masters in Education in Portland, OR and spent time in a K/1 blended classroom and a third grade classroom. For a year, she also worked as a professional mentor to youth who faced multiple systemic obstacles. Sarah is excited to return to her New England roots and to the classroom. In her free time, you can catch Sarah running, climbing, reading, and spending time with her loved ones.

Ellie grew up in Michigan and recently graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelors Degree in History. In addition to her passion for history, Ellie is a musician and loves hiking, rock climbing, and spending time outdoors. She is excited to start her career in elementary education at Crossroads, and is looking forward to meeting our community in the fall.
