Fifth Grade Persuasive Speakers



Fifth graders completed their persuasive speeches for our community before the Winter Break. For weeks, these students have been researching a non-profit organization so that they could write a speech that would persuade their audience to support each one. The winner is decided based upon audience votes, and will be announced later this week. Efforts will further be made to support the winning organization within our community. The selected non-profits were: Darbster Doggy, Bugbee Senior Center, Upper Valley Haven, LISTEN Community Services, Upper Valley Humane Society, Willing Hands, Hanover Improvement Society, David's House, Inc., New England Disabled Sports, Vital Communities, Squam Lakes Association, Cancer Patient Support Foundation, Grassroot Soccer, and Windham County Humane Society. Let’s give a big round of applause to these students for their hard work!

Kindergartners Celebrate 100 Days of School!

Before the Winter Break, our kindergartners spent the day counting, sorting, building, and celebrating being in school for 100 days!

Our Middle Schoolers have been working so hard to prepare for the upcoming performances. We hope to see you there next week! We also invite you to share the showtimes with your friends and family members. No tickets necessary. Admission is by donation.

Reminder: Calling all Parents and Caregivers!

Please join the Crossroads Academy Parent Association for coffee at our spring CAPA Business Meeting where we will discuss two options for sustaining CAPA. It is important that all community members share their preference for CAPA's model going forward. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 15 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. in the Greer Gupta Conference Room in the Fanger Center.

Upcoming Lockdown Drill

This Wednesday, March 1, we will practice our lockdown procedures in a lockdown drill. Our teachers will discuss the procedure and the importance of following the necessary steps to keep our community safe. We encourage you to have a conversation with your child before Wednesday and offer reassurance surrounding the safety measures we must practice, so that we are prepared in the event of an emergency.
