November 7, 2022

This month's virtues are Gratitude and Stewardship. Gratitude is thankfulness for the gift of life and the gifts in life. Stewardship is caring well for the gifts given to us--our life, our world, our talents, and those entrusted to our care.

Support our school with a gift to the Crossroads Fund!

So much of the Crossroads experience that our children greatly benefit from wouldn’t be possible without the Crossroads Fund and the financial support of generous community members like you.

Your gift to the Crossroads Fund supports:

  • Curriculum and program development.
  • CAPA and the many community-building events hosted annually.
  • Faculty recruitment and retention through professional development opportunities and teaching resources.
  • Outdoor education, community service, and student field trips.
  • Our robust arts, physical education, and music programs.
  • And much more!

Please consider making a donation to the Crossroads Fund today.

If you would like to participate in this exciting cause, please feel free to send in your contribution with your student throughout the month of November. Kindergarten Pajama Drive

As we head into November and begin focusing on the virtues of gratitude and stewardship, many of our classes will begin a service project. Our youngest students are excited to invite you to contribute to their "Great Bedtime Pajama Drive!" Kindergartners are looking for brand-new pajamas in all sizes for any season. The drive is sponsored by Scholastic Book Clubs, and for every pair of pajamas donated, SBC will donate a brand-new book to Pajama Program to give to a child facing adversity. Our kindergartners are so excited to make a difference in another child's life. Please send all donations to the school by November 30.

WISE Visits this Week

As you know, visitors from WISE have begun their workshops in our classrooms this week. If you were unable to attend the informational meeting last week about the programming, please feel free to revisit the overview of grade-level topics or watch the recording of the Zoom here.
