After-School and After-Kindergarten

Beginning after dismissal on September 5th, the After-School Program is open to all students and runs from 3:00pm until 5:30pm (2:00pm until 5:30pm on Wednesdays). The program is staffed by two to three Crossroads Academy employees. Students have plenty of time to finish their homework and to have fun as well! The Program offers an activity each day that consists of cooperative games, seasonal crafts, bead stringing and more. The After-Kindergarten Program runs from 12:30pm until 3:00pm (2:00pm on Wednesdays) and provides snacks and engaging activities for kindergarteners. Please keep in mind that both Programs run in conjunction with the school calendar, and there is no After-Kindergarten or After-School Program on days indicated as such on the calendar.

This year, for the first time, our After-School and After-Kindergarten Programs will have a space of their own (our former library), thus allowing for new programming options. In addition, our After-School students will be able to use our fabulous new gymnasium as a part of their program.

Drop in spaces will be based on availability. If you choose not to sign your student up in advance, and you want your child to attend on any particular day, you may call the school that day to see if there is sufficient space available for your child to drop in. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee spaces for drop ins.

Please keep in mind that due to liability concerns, no child can be left unattended outside while waiting for pick up. Consequently, if a child's ride has not arrived by 3:15pm for grades 1-8 or 12:45pm for kindergartners, he/she will be included in the After-School or After-Kindergarten Program and a $20 drop in fee will be charged regardless of the time spent in After-School care.

Sign up forms will be distributed monthly. Please choose the days carefully as there will be no refunds for days signed up for that your child does not attend. In addition, the After-School Programs run on a first-come, first-served basis. If there should be more interest than we have spots for, priority will be given to families in the order that forms are returned.
